specializējas jautājuma izstrādē par izglītību un ētiku, izdod žurnālu Austrālijā angļu val. par šo jautājumu.
Viņa ierosinājums ir apspriest iespējamu starptautisku projektu par izglītību un ētiku.

Biographical Information

Professor Janis (John) Ozolins is the Foundation Head of the School of Philosophy. He is the Chair of the University Human Research Ethics Committee and was an Academic member of the University Senate (2004-6).  He is a permanent Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, University of Latvia and was inaugural Crawford Miller Visiting Fellow, St. Cross College, University of Oxford. He received his M.Sc., Ph.D. and his Dip.Ed. from the University of Melbourne, and his Ed.Admin. from Deakin University. He is an inaugural Fellow of the Higher Education Research and Development Society of Australasia. He is Immediate Past President of the Philosophy of Education Society of Australasia and a member of the International Association of Catholic Bioethicists. He is editor of Ethics Education, a refereed journal for applied ethics and philosophy in the Christian tradition. His teaching and research interests include metaphysics and epistemology, applied ethics, the philosophy of education, the relationship between religion and science, and issues concerning the mind and personal identity. He has a number of publications in these areas. He is based at ACU's St Patrick's Campus in Melbourne.
